A stimulating classroom design but with some measures
Schools and classrooms are often characterized by a lots of colors, the walls full of craftwork and teaching materials, lots of cozy decoration and overflowing coat racks. Very cozy of course but for many children this can be overwhelming, especially when they are hyper sensitive. According to many studies, both a low-stimulus and a stimulating environment are important for the child's development. An ideal classroom is therefore a combination between the two.
Anti-stimulating measures for the classroom with STAS picture hanging systems
One measure that schools can take is to apply STAS picture hanging systems in the classroom. STAS picture hanging systems for education are designed to create well-arranged and flexible walls without using wooden slats, tape or glue dots. The neutral design of the picture hanging systems ensure a calm wall layout and decades of pleasant use. Moreover, they make moving or exchanging alphabet tiles, educational posters, drawings and other wall decorations effortlessly easy. Still not completely convinced? To put it to the test, we recently provided a classroom with a make-over, and the photos, well ... they don't lie!

STAS papergrip: an anti-stimulating measure for the classroom
In this classroom wooden slats made place for a white STAS papergrip across the entire width of the classroom. We chose for a STAS papergrip in a white colour so that the hanging system is as unobtrusive as possible. High on the walls the STAS papergrip was installed to give the alphabet tiles, educational posters and decoration a prominent place in the classroom. Moreover, we also installed a few meters of STAS papergrip on eye-level for hanging a bag of noise cancelling headphones. Installing a hanging system on eyelevel enables the kids in the classroom to hang their drawings theirselves!
